YouTube has an 8K video

Engadget wrote an article titled: YouTube has an 8K video (that almost no one can watch)

8K video has made it to YouTube.  Pretty crazy that we are barely seeing the consumer market slowly adapting to 4K, but now a new format is already making an appearance.  The clip’s called Ghost Towns and it looks very cool.  Per Engadget, “the video description notes that Ghost Towns was shot using a RED Epic Dragon 6K camera in portrait orientation and to hit the higher resolution, some of the footage was upscaled or stitched together with Adobe’s After Effects suite.”

Unfortunately I don’t have an 8K display, so i can’t watch it in full res, but I am definitely interested in doing so.  Also, i’m sure it will eat up a lot of resources.  I’m not sure where the limit is on resolution, but looks like it’s following the processor trend of doubling every couple years.  If you have some good hardware, take a look here:
